RewrapAVCHD Überblick
RewrapAVCHD ermöglicht es Ihnen, .mts-, .m2ts- und .m2t-Dateien in .m4v-Dateien umzuwandeln. AVCHD-Dateien werden nicht konvertiert (keine Neukodierung), es gibt keinen Qualitätsverlust und es ist sofort.
Der FastCut-Videoeditor vom selben Entwickler kann gängige AVCHD-Dateien nicht direkt verarbeiten. Daher ist dies das Tool, das Ihre AVCHD-Dateien mit FastCut und allen anderen Apps, die QuickTime für die Medienfile-Verarbeitung verwenden, kompatibel macht. Um eine Datei zu verarbeiten, ziehen Sie sie auf das RewrapAVCHD-Symbol oder klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche 'Rewrap' im Hauptfenster und wählen Sie eine Datei aus. Sie können auch mehrere Dateien gleichzeitig umwickeln. Ziehen Sie einfach mehrere Dateien oder wählen Sie mehr als eine Datei im Dateiauswahlfenster aus, indem Sie die Befehl-Taste gedrückt halten. Diese Batch-Verarbeitungsfunktion ist jedoch nur für Besitzer einer FastCut-Lizenz reserviert.

I downloaded this to help convert the AVCHD files from my Sony NEX-5 to something I can import into iMovie. I am quite a novice at this business... but it seems like there aren't a lot of options on the RewrapAVCHD interface. I can select my MTS file and then it does a little something on the status bar but I get no results. I downloaded the Perian plug-in but is there anything else I need to do?

Both RewrapAVCHD 1.0b3 and 1.0b4 do not work on well more than half of the .m2ts files I give it. It just cursorily examines it and then spits out a null file almost immediately with a "ping."

NOT SAFE YET! Version 1.0b3 works great on some files, doesn't work at all on others, and occasionally deletes the sources file whether that preference is checked or not!
It'll be great when it's ready, and it is greatly needed — thanks and kudos are due to the developer for both making it and making it free. But, it ain't there yet, so you absolutely MUST backup your files before use.

I have a Panasonic GH2 and have been looking for something like this! I looked at numerous converters, but most required knowing what I was doing. ;-)
ReWrapAVCHD does dead-simple conversions with no apparent loss of video quality and most importantly, NO HEADACHES!
It really couldn't be simpler to use. Drag & Drop conversion works great. A dialogue box open every time and shows only 2 options: Delete the original file and Open the converted file with QuickTIme Player. That's it!
Now I'll shoot more video!
